It’s been a minute since I’ve thrown together a lil collage of things floating around in my mind. If you’re in the mood to look, peruse, listen or shop — you’re in luck today. Come along!
The Employees by Olga Ravn
I first learned about this book from my friend Lola’s Duende feature, and I finally read it earlier this year. It’s short, bizarre and held my interest, and I’ve passed it on to quite a few friends.
Reese Blutstein @double3xposure
Reese and her twin sister Molly have the coolest style. I love how they put looks together, and I went poking around for the top after Reese posted this selfie to Stories yesterday. I can’t seem to find it! Please share if you know.
Jersey Boxers from Industry of All Nations
I’ve gotten super into boxer shorts this spring and love lounging around in them while also feeling cute.
Sculptural Ceramic Teapot by Nadeige Choplet
Casa Shop always curates the best vintage and antique goods, and their Rare Collection is extra special — this teapot is clearly no exception.
‘Nobody New’ by The Marías
I love The Marías’ Submarine album, and they just put out two new songs that have been nailing me. ‘Back To Me’ is also such a vibe.
Lighting by 𝔚𝔯𝔢𝔱𝔠𝔥𝔢𝔡 𝔉𝔩𝔬𝔴𝔢𝔯𝔰
Everything the design studio of husband-wife duo Loney Abrams and Johnny Stanish creates is so inherently cool, and I dream of having one of their lighting pieces in my home someday.
SOFT TECH Lookbook from KkCo
Definitely one of my favorite fashion designers — KkCo’s FW25 collection is all I want to wear. This look in particular might become my whole personality.
Soft Services, Theraplush Overnight Repair Treatment
I turned another year older this month and my hands are starting to look and feel more dry and crepey, wah-wah. I’ve heard great things about this hand cream with retinol, plus it comes in a perfect refillable container and looks great beside the bed for easy access.
Spicy Citrus Seasoning by Flamingo Estate
I posted about this recently on Instagram and truly can’t stop eating it. I can’t seem to find a link online anymore but it’s delicious on nearly everything — a combo of lemon lime, sea salt, cilantro and jalapeño. My fave way to enjoy it is with a toasted English muffin, herb garlic cashew cheese, a plump slice of heirloom tomato, a glug of good olive oil and this to top it off.
Sunnei TU ISI Sneakers
I desperately need some new shoes but feel paralyzed by decisions at the moment. These Sunnei lowtop lace-ups are a top contender. I mean… this color combo?!
Crushed Strawberry Vinegar by Kosterina
Shrub city, bitch. My friends and I have gotten super into these non-alcoholic concoctions lately, and I’m looking for a bar tray so I can create the perfect “vinegar bar” — like a cocktail bar but just vinegars, lol. This stuff paired simply with lime Topo Chico is divine. Add a sprig of basil if you’ve got it.
Citroën Karin designed by Trevor Fiore, 1980
I came across this car from the Paris Motor Show originally on Instagram and, man, wouldn’t it be so fun for a joyride? The three-seat layout positions the driver in the center which I bet would feel so trippy.
Acute Bandana Headband by Sandy Liang
Always seem to be tying things under my chin lately — be it my Studio Kelsey knit bandana or hopefully soon, this quirky bandana headband.
Dana Necklace by Justine Clenquet
I’m sad to admit that I’m not much of a jewelry-wearing person, but I’ve been considering a necklace and this double layered piece from Maimoun caught my eye.
Pierce & Ward Floral Grid Pillow Cover
The entire Pierce & Ward for West Elm collection is so so charming. Fun fact: the design studio is Nashville-founded (my hometown!). The prices are reasonable for these pieces, and it features really unique patterns, textures and shapes. Get it while the gettin’ is good.
Fish Bottle Opener
A cute cast aluminum bottle opener that makes me smile (helpful when opening Topo Chico bottles for aforementioned shrubs).
Vintage Facebook Marketplace Finds
The alabaster stone urn and the round wooden dresser are pieces I scouted on Facebook Marketplace but devastatingly missed out on. How incredible would that dresser be refinished and with different knobs?! It was only $200, too. 😭 My ideal keywords to search of late are: iron, heavy, Italian, stone. The more descriptive, the better!
That’s all for now, but I’ll be back soon with some thoughts I’ve been exploring on aging. Thanks for joining me down today’s inspiration rabbit hole.
Love,
Elise
P.S. Biggest thank you to everyone who has written or left messages about my new podcast
. Claggie and I are endlessly grateful for all the kind words, shares and listens. They come out every Monday on Spotify and Apple, and so far we’ve got 4 episodes ranging from loneliness to imposter syndrome to self-worth to stress. We love hearing about what each theme brings up for you and how the conversations are resonating. And please do reach out if you have any topic suggestions for us!
